Main Study:

The Final Report was submitted to WorkSafeBC in February 2011. After the WorkSafeBC Board has had a chance to review the report at their May meeting, the PDF of the report will be posted here.

Personal and Environmental Sampling:

Sampling was completed in early fall 2008; we have full data on 55 fire fighters. This means that we have collected data pertaining to a number of different job descriptions provided by the 55 fire fighters who volunteered to wear the sampling equipment and provide the personal samples.

Thanks so much to everyone who did the sampling or expressed interest in participating! Without your assistance we would not be able to conduct this important research. Thanks also to all members of the fire halls where we were welcomed during the course of sampling. We felt very welcome and enjoyed many fabulous meals!

Sub Study:

Questionnaires for the sub study were coded and data entry is complete. In total we received questionnaire data from 416 anonymous fire fighters (employed or retired). If you recall, 1000 questionnaires were sent out to randomly selected individuals.
